Position Statement on Dialysis Capacity

Dialysis is an essential lifesaving service that cannot be deferred or wait-listed. This statement aims to set expectations around dialysis capacity and the level of care that will provide optimal kidney health for all people. It will provide a framework by which health services can understand dialysis capacity constraints and advocate for increased capacity and resourcing.

ANZSN Statement on Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity in the Workforce

The Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology (ANZSN) strongly supports the principles of equity and diversity. The ANZSN is working to achieve equity in kidney care, with a focus on Indigenous Health

The Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) committee's role is to identify equity issues in the ANZSN, provide advice on dismantling barriers, assess progress and engage with other committees to assist in equity issues.

ANZSN Statement on the Voice to Parliament

In line with our endorsement of the broad intent and key strategies of the Uluru Statement from the Heart, ANZSN supports the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution through the Voice to Parliament.
 We believe that ensuring involvement and leadership from First Nations people in decisions regarding issues impacting their lives, will improve health outcomes.
