Quality Care Workshop 2024 Beating the bugs: improving infection risk in dialysis.

Save the date Wednesday, 1 May 2024 11am-3pm AEST, Free virtual interactive meeting. The Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology and the Renal Society of Australasia are proud to present the Quality Care Workshop in 2024.

Our first workshop for 2024 will feature interactive presentations and panel discussions on the priority quality improvement topic of infection in dialysis. This will include the role of quality improvement and data collection in reducing infections in both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. We will also highlight quality improvement projects in both nephrology and other specialties with the aim of enabling units to implement their own projects to reduce dialysis related infections.

We encourage involvement of all members of the kidney community including nephrologists and advanced trainees, allied health staff, nephrology nurses and dialysis staff, consumers and anyone interested in quality improvement.

Do you have a Quality Improvement Project? Call out for Quality Improvement Projects on reducing infection in dialysis.

Have you or your unit undertaken a Quality Improvement project around reducing infection in dialysis? This can include haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, peritonitis, exit site infections or anything related to data collection and analysis in this space.

Projects will be selected for presentation at the 2024 Quality Care Workshop 11am – 3pm AEST 1 May 2024 or included in the new Quality Improvement Section on the ANZSN website to assist other units in developing their own project.

Please send a 100-200 word abstract and contact details of the person responsible to policy@nephrology.edu.au

We encourage all members of the kidney community including nephrologists and advanced trainees, allied health staff, nephrology nurses and dialysis staff, consumers and anyone involved in quality improvement to submit a project.
